Charlie Bean by Carole Massey

Commissioning a painting

Commissioning a painting is not as difficult or as expensive as you might assume.

Whether it's a portrait of a loved one, a painting of your house, a commemorative work of a deceased member of an organisation, a family pet or a view from a holiday snap, a painting provides a unique and lasting memento.

Carole likes to work from her own photographs where possible or a good reference.

A portrait may require a sitting or meeting with the subject.

She will discuss your requirements according to your needs.

Painting on the right:
Sir Charles Bean – Deputy Governor of the Bank of England
This painting now hangs in the “Parlours Hall” at the Bank of England. Carole was invited to its unveiling, followed by a special reception to mark Charlie’s retirement from the Bank of England in June 2014.

Quotes from satisfied clients

"I just had to write to thank you for the portrait of C and E. I’m so pleased with the likeness that every time I look at the painting it makes me smile."
"F. gave me the portrait this morning and I immediately wept. You have captured E perfectly. I have never received such a precious gift as your picture and will hang it on the wall with great pride."
"Just a short note to say ‘Thank you’ so very much for a fantastic picture. Everybody that comes into the house has to see it and they all comment on how lifelike it is. I shall treasure it always."

Of animal portraits…

" I feel I can’t begin to tell you how bowled over I am by the magnificent portrait of Ben (dog). It’s so true to him I feel I want to stroke it. You really are a genius!"
"Thank you so much for our wonderful painting of B (dog). It is so lifelike you expect her to get up and walk off!"
