Painting Holidays 2012
My painting holidays in Brittany and at Manzac d'en Bas, south of Toulouse in south west France have been carefully chosen for their beautiful locations, high standards of food, accommodation and ease of travel. Both beginners and more experienced artists are welcome as well as non-painting partners.

Carole will be returning to Manzac following a very successful painting holiday there in 2010.
Manzac d'en Bas is situated in the Ariege department of the Midi Pyrenees in South West France. The Arize valley lies one hour south of Toulouse between Foix and Carbonne..
The Ariege is one of france's undiscovered treasures with stunning countryside, colourful markets and pretty towns and villages.
Manzac d'en Bas is a 150 year old former farm set in spectacular and tranquil countryside. The house, the 13 x 6m saltwater swimming pool, recently renovated farm buildings and the 2 acre garden are all south facing and have outstanding views of the Pyrenees. All our painting locations are within an easy 10 -15 minute drive or within the grounds.

The Côtes d’Armor region of Northern Brittany is renowned for its wonderful unspoilt beaches and heritage coastline; the surrounding countryside is dotted with historic towns and picturesque small hamlets and the friendly Breton people make it a popular destination for tourists and artists alike.In addition there is no better place to sample a wide range of locally caught seafood, or delicious meat and dairy produce.
Painting tuition
Those of you already familiar with Carole’s expert teaching will know that her professional style, although structured, is relaxed and friendly, and always includes lots of demonstrations with both group tuition and individual guidance. The course is suitable for beginners and the more experienced alike.
A typical day might be spent painting the charming fishing boats at the little port of Dahouët, capturing the light on the sea around the spectacular Penthièvre coast, sketching characters in the local market at Lamballe or tackling perspective in the medieval towns of Dinan and Montcontour.
Each day will feature a new drawing or painting topic to stretch and develop your artistic potential, whilst allowing fun and individual creative input to dictate.
Groups will be limited to 6 pupils and in the event of bad weather, tuition will be based in Carole’s studio.
