Art in Aldeburgh: Portraits using Watercolours, Soft Pastels and Pastel Pencils

In this 2 day course, Carole will guide you through a variety of techniques to achieve a likeness whether you are painting a human or an animal, using a combination of demonstrations, basic exercises and one-to-one tuition.

Portraiture can be perceived as a challenging subject, but it is great fun and most rewarding once you've learnt a few tricks to help improve your drawing, accuracy and observational skills.

Carole will demystify the process of capturing a likeness by leading you through several exercises aimed at improving accuracy, focusing on facial features, proportions, head structure and the differences between adults and children's faces.
