Join Carole Massey on this exciting opportunity to explore Jersey where we will paint some beautiful coastal scenes and harbour views. This will combine time outdoors on excursions and inside in the studio using water colours and water-soluble pencils.
Carole is a very versatile painter who has been a professional artist and tutor for many years. Her approachable style of teaching will ensure you will get the most out of your painting holiday as she encourages beginner and more experienced artists alike. Carole will demonstrate a wide variety of tips and techniques to use this most versatile drawing and painting medium. Some exercises will be step-by-step, though you can choose to works at your own pace if you prefer.

You will be staying at the lovely St Brelade's Bay Hotel, a beautiful 4-start hotel with it's own private seafront garden and private access to the beach. Jersey has a beautiful coastline with tranquil beaches, beautiful harbors and stunning cliffs with lighthouses and historic towers to capture. Jersey is just off the French coast with a warm climate and a blend of French and British culture.

HOTEL LEONE, ITALY JUNE 13 - 20, 2025
Hotel Leone is a beautifully restored 9 bedroomed palazzo sitting at the foot of the ancient hilltop town of Montelparo, in Le Marche region of central Italy, which was recently voted No 2 region in the world to visit on LonelyPlanet. It's a picture postcard medieval setting with winding streets, shady courtyards and panoramic viewpoints.
The entire property has been completely renovated to an award winning standard, incorporating as many environmentally friendly features as possible. The owners, Medeline and Tim, pride themselves in delivering the ultimate in comfort and hospitality and have created a haven for guests with plenty of comfortable sitting areas. All rooms are wonderfully spacious and have tea & coffee making facilities, air con and TV; there are also central honesty mini bars on each floor.
DAILY ROUTINE
Each day after breakfast we will take a short minibus ride to a nearby location or paint in Montelparo. Carole will be on hand throughout the day to demonstrate or offer help and guidance on an individual basis. The emphasis will be on sketching, pen & wash studies and watercolours, though you are welcome to work in your own choice of medium. We return to the hotel mid afternoon, allowing time to relax by the pool, paint in the spacious studio, or retire for a siesta! Each evening before supper we review the day's work, with a low-key exhibition on our last evening.
