Portraiture is often perceived as challenging but it can be great fun and is not as difficult as you may think! 

Carole will demystify the process enabling you to portray a portrait of a loved one or celebrity in a lifelike and convincing manner using the wonderfully forgiving medium of soft pastels and pastel pencils. 

After discussing proportions, features, pose and how to achieve a likeness, etc, Carole will demonstrate techniques for painting skin colour, shading, hair colouring, clothing and tips on backgrounds. All abilities.
