About the event
The demands of capturing character and expression in an animal or bird are just as important as painting a human. Carole will show you “how to” using pastels and pastel pencils, first looking at shape and form, then concentrating on features and measure proportions, before moving on to techniques for painting texture and pattern and tackling highlights and shadows in fur and feathers.
Through demonstrations and step by step exercises we will look at ways of drawing the form of the animal head, then examine how to draw the body as well as tackling the specific demands of painting a bird.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Please bring your own packed lunch
