Water Soluble Pencils at Flatford Mill - 3 day course

Water soluble pencils are an extremely versatile medium, combining the familiarity of a pencil with the magic of watercolour. They are the perfect medium for those yet to master watercolours, whilst retaining all the appeal of drawing. They are an ideal medium for both the beginner and the more experienced artist alike. 

We will tackle a range of exercises – blending colours, creating wet in wet washes, controlling brush techniques and mark making for painting skies, trees and landscape subjects working from the natural landscape around Flatford Mill.

Flatford Mill is set in the heart of Constable countryside, in the beautiful Dedham Vale, location for many of Constable's most famous paintings, notably The Haywain.
